Health inequalities in modern Russia

New social straits of population are forming now in Russia. The impact of these processes on health of different population groups was examined.

Data of National Health Survey (1996) and Health interview survey inside trial Population Census (1997) all around 10 000 persons were obtained and estimate for peculiarities of self-assessment of health, morbidity, height, weight and some living conditions, use medical services in straits of population.

Children and adults from modern high social strait of population have the best estimations from early childhood, low morbidity, high height for men (179,2 cm in upper and 175,3 cm in lower strait) and more healthy life-stile than their coevals, who have not only high morbidity, but smaller opportunities to buy medicines for treatment.

Peculiarities of Health, other characteristics of different groups of population must be taken into consideration for politics of well-being.
